Talk About Spirals!

I am running late this week.  So much is going on.  To start off, I have had a leaky faucet in the tub which has been getting worse so I decided to fix it, on my own.  Followed shortly by a call to a plumber to fix my mis-fixings!  After 16 hours with no water he finally got here.  Yea great start to the week!

If you have been reading my blog for some time you might remember me mentioning about on of my cats swallowing my beadwork, thread and needle.  Ever since then I have been very careful about protecting my needles from the cats.  That is until the plumber came.......  The other cat, decided to eat a needle.  At least we think she has.  I am praying that she has not and the needle has somehow flown the coop.  But for now we are keeping an eye on her and in the morning I will be taking her to the vet to have her checked out.  So please say a prayer for her.

This has actually hit me pretty hard.  I mean it is my fault and I feel awful since this cat is my daughters favorite.  So right now I am a bit torn up.  Kinda feel like I am in a spiral.  (see how I did that?)  Yea kinda cheesy but it did make me smile a bit.  Over at Every Inchie Monday the theme is Spiral  and here is mine.

That is it for me this week.  Don't forget to fly on over to EIM and check out whats going on and have a blessed and creative week my friends.

  3. We are not using any cold water in our bathroom sink because the faucet is stuck. I have been debating whether to try to fix it myself (hubby does not do "fixing") or call a plumber. I'm very cheep, but reading your post has me thinking LOL! I hope your needle show up someplace and that your cat is fine. Cats can be so silly about what they will eat and not eat! Great inchie too!

    1. Thanks Jean, the needle did show up someplace, in the xray of the cat! Yes I thought that it would be an easy fix, see them do it all the time on DIY shows but I wont do it again lol

  4. Gorgeous inchie, I wondered how you would tackle this one. Doing the plumbing yourself is never a good idea, been there, done that.
I hope the cat is OK, why they eat things like that I don't know. We have 5, but they are pretty good, no disappearing needles so far.

  5. Free, I know a plumber! Reasonable, too. Travel and mileage, not so much. Smooth segue to your EIM this week. Those alternating stitches are a bugger and you did it up nicely. Hope the cat stuck to kibbles instead of needles. c

    1. Thanks so much Cheryl. Sadly she did eat the needle. But we are watching her. The vet said it is common and that unless she is in distress there is no need for surgery.

  6. great beaded spiral - so distinctive in the black and white. I wouldn't feel too guilty about your cat- they can get into everything - I often have pins and needles on the floor (stepped on one myself recently - I am not a neat person) but my cats never bother with them. hope your kitty is ok.

    1. Thanks so much Kia, I think she will be ok. The vet said that she should pass it, hopefully faster than the other cat did lol. I dont think she will eat another one any time soon lol
