The Tale of Two Colors of a Horse and a Lion

Hey everyone, hope this finds you well.  I am well. I will be having gallbladder surgery this Friday, so I enjoyed all my beadworking this weekend.  Next weekend, probably not so much, lol.

This week over at Every Inchie Monday the animal theme continues with Horse, but this week I decided to do something different.  Since I did a Donkey 3 weeks ago I couldn't do something similar.  So what I did do was a horse shoe.

I used 2 colors of Delicas and there is a funny story behind the colors.  Many of you who have followed my blog for a while know that when next years list is posted I start designing the inchies and twinchies.

I try to design the easy ones first, then go and search the web for ideas.  Most times I work on the inchies one day and the twinchies the next.  I don't really pay attention to the dates when I design patterns.  Which is what makes this weeks patterns even cooler.  Why, you ask?  Because I ended up using the exact same colors for both patterns!  I don't think that has ever happened before!

So, this week over at 2x2x2 the theme is Lion.  I have been waiting for a long time to bead this one.  Lions were my late husbands favorite animals.  So I enjoyed this one so much more because of that.

I also liked this one since I made use of negative space.  Negative space is the space around and between a subject.  It is used to make the subject "pop" by just being there.  Negative space is something that I am not comfortable with.  I really like to outline my designs and have clear lines of designs. But check him out.  I really love this guy.

Also, see what I mean about the same colors.  I am blown away by that but not to surprised.  I have a tendency to use similar colors in my patterns because they are some of my favorites and I seem to see my patterns in those that I use the most.  I guess I am predictable.  I am good with that, lol.

Don't forget to fly on over to EIM and 2x2x2 to check out the great art work over there and hey it is fun, why not join in!!  Have a blessed and creative week my friends!

Where's the Beef...er... Cow?

Hiya everyone, thanks for stopping by the nest this week.  Not a lot going on.  Just Every Inchie Monday this week.  Not been much time for anything else, as this year is already going too fast for me to catch up!  LOL

This week over at EIM the animal theme of the week is Cow.  Which I have to say is one of my 4 favorite meats!  HA!  But instead of steak I just went with a Cow pattern.

Simple and sweet.  Don't forget to fly on over to EIM and 2x2x2 and see the awesome works over there and don't be afraid to jump in there is plenty of room in the pool and the water is nice!

Big News! This Little Piggy is Running Late!

Hey everybody, hope this finds you all well.  I am running a day late on this one.  I actually got distracted by new beads and almost forgot to post my blog!  But I have to say my new beads are pretty!  All beads are pretty!

This week over at Every Inchie Monday the theme this week is Pig.  Since I am in Arkansas I could have went with a Razorback but why would I want to?  That would be easy!  LOL  But I did do a cute little pink pig with a big black nose.

I am not entirely happy with his nose but I do like the look of him.  Also this week over at 2x2x2 the theme is News.  My first attempt was to do a carrier pigeon but I did not like the look of it so I designed this one.  Then just before I went to bead it I thought about adding more detail but I decided to go with my less detailed one.  Hope you like it.

I made a newspaper front page.  I love the simple lines and blocks of color.  It tells you it is a newspaper without telling you it is a news paper.

Also, I know I have vague about my health issues lately.  Mostly because I was hoping that what I was worried about was not the problem.  It seems that I am having issues with yet another one of my organs and it is time to kick her out.  We have not been getting along lately, we have been fighting alot lately!  So on the 24th I will be kicking her out, I will be having my gallbladder out.  I know, I know it is not really a big deal.  Everyone says so; but I was hoping that I would not have to miss work, or have to have surgery all together.  But I am thinking about the fact that I will no longer be in constant pain, and that makes me want to do this.  Maybe with that time off I will get to do some beadwork!  LOL

Anyways, enough of that!  Don't forget to fly on over to EIM and 2x2x2 and see the other amazing artwork by some super talented people!

Donkey! Donkey!

Hey everybody, thanks for stopping by this week.  I will try to make it short.  Only one thing to show off this week.  I have been working on a BIG project, and after 2 weeks I am ONLY 1/9th of the way done!  I would love to show it off but not yet!

Instead I will show off my inchie.  This week over at Every Inchie Monday the theme is Donkey.

For this cute little guy I used 5 colors of Delicas.  I think the green was a bad choice but, "Oh well!" I still like him.

That is it for me this week.  Don't forget to fly on over to EIM and 2x2x2 to check out the great artwork and maybe join along!  Have a blessed and creative week!
