Beady Alligator Problems!

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping but the nest this week.  I am happy that I had a small amount of time to do some beadwork!  YAY!!!  LOL

First off over at Every Inchie Monday the theme is Alligator!  You all know me, I just did not want to make an alligator on my inchie, not to mention that I couldn't make it in an inch!  So I went with something that to me sounded extravagant.  An Alligator bag!  Check it out!

I have to say I really like how this came out. Even though the green beads were a pain in the butt!  I had to cull a lot of them.  Culling means that you go through beads and separate the good beads from the bad ones.  Here is some of the bad ones.

Many of these are uneven on one side of the bead or they are just to skinny to be used!  This may not seem like a lot of beads but this was just what I found while beading just this inchie!  Sadly, a few got sewn into the inchie.  But I wont tell if you don't!

Also, this week I had time to bead a small bead tube.  I was wanting to bead a bunch of them but that did not happen. I also used colors that were near to me instead of getting up and getting pretty colors.  But that is ok, lol.  I was just happy to have a few moments to bead so I was not going to complain!

This picture doesn't really show the tube in all its glory, but this is beading that had been sewn together to make a tube.  I got the pattern for it from Carolyn over at Seedbeaders.  Wish I had a better picture of this one, maybe next week I will have more to show.

That is it for me this week.  Don't forget to fly on over to EIM and check out the great work there.  Have a blessed and creative week my friends.

  3. I always say that the only good croc/alligator is a dead one that's either a bag or shoes! They really creep me out so I love your idea :-)

  4. What was the brand of green beads? I had thought you were using something like Delicas, but the closeup showed them to have more texture :-)
