Indigo and a New Piece

This week over at Every Inchie Monday the theme is Indigo.  This one was a hard one for me.  I thought about it forever.  Weeks!  i just couldn't think of anything for this theme.  Then I did a internet search and found out there is a flower named indigo.  Here is a picture I used for inspiration.

I originally was going to have what looked like blurry flowers in the background but it just didn't look right with the colors I had picked out for the flower, so I just did the background color in an off-white.  I do like how it came out.   I used 3 colors of Delicas having the white background, green and purple for the flower.

This week I also finished another commission piece for a friend at work.  He wanted a  mirror dangle of the flag of Laos, where his father is from.  I like how it turned out & I know he will love it.  I used 3 colors of Delicas; red, white and blue.  I also used a wine cork and 2 lobster claw clasps. Sorry for the blurry picture, I am not skilled with the camera on my phone.

Hope you have a blessed week and dont forget to fly on over to EIM to check out all the other great artwork from all of the awesome artist.

  4. Brilliant inchie. To make mine in fabric was very simple but in pearls it is quite difficult. But you managed it very well.

    1. Thanks Trillian, I don't think yours looked very simple. It looked difficult to me, I am glad we both seemed to think the same thing.
