Boas and Chameleon

Hey everyone, 2 weeks again this time.  But for good reason this time.  I spent last weekend with my family.  I drove about 1500 miles in 4 days.  When I got back home I was way too tired to bead or do my blog.  But, I am rested up now!

Last week over at Every Inchie Monday the theme was Boa.  I knew that I would not be able to design a snake in an inch so I decided to do a design of the Boa's skin pattern.

I really love this color combo.  I might have to design a bracelet in this design.  Also this week my son's dog, Delilah brought home a baby for her to love on; literally!

Yea, was a bit creepy to leave for work and see 2 hands and a foot sticking out of the dirt!  She has since brought it in the house and loves it!  I call it her headless baby.  Truthfully, it is adorable to see a 5 month old German Shepard loving on this.  I really hope that the neighbors daughter has not noticed that she is missing a baby LOL.

This week's theme at EIM is Chameleon.  Wow this one was super hard.  I again had to go with the skin pattern.  I used 3 colors again with this one, but I don't think I want to use them again. The silver lined crystal color is hard to work with.  But I do like the finished product, what do you think?

Don't forget to fly on over to EIM and check out the great art over there.  Have a blessed and creative week my friends.  Before I leave this week I want to say that my prayers and thoughts are with the people in Las Vegas.  Such a horrible tragedy.  May God bless and keep all those affected by this.

  1. I think your snakes skin and chamelion skins are fabulous - you have really captured the essence of the animal in the skin which is so decorative and absolutely ideal for your bead work - beautifully done. I must admit when I saw your headless baby it did give me the creeps but I’m glad your dog likes it!!! Love Jenny x

  2. I'm with Jenny on the rather tragic little limb collection, dogs can have very strange fancies, can't they but I guess it's nice that a discarded and rather damaged little doll can find someone to love it...Your skins are fabulous, wonderful patterns and I especially like the silver beads, your hard work with them is not in vain...Dxx
