Also this last week I made a bangle bracelet using a new stitch, well
new to me. It is a Cellini spiral, I used 4 different sizes of beads. A
15/0 yellow, 11/0 in red and orange, 8/0 in blue and green and 6/0 in
topaz.
For those who don't know the differences in seed beads. Here is a quick chart.
I really loved making this bangle. I will for sure make another one!!!
Dont forget to fly on over to EIM and check out all the awesome work by the talented ladies, and have a blessed and beady week.
Fantastic inchie as always but the bracelet took my breath away it is amazing
ReplyDeleteLove Chrissie x
Thank you Chrissie, I loved making it it is not as heavy as it looks.
DeleteBeautiful lock! And yes, feel same as Chrissie - the bracelet is breathtaking. And thanks for the seed bead guide. Just yesterdays was looking on eBay for some seed beads to use in embroidery.
ReplyDeletethanks Zoe, and your welcome, I have bought beads on Ebay. Sometimes it is a great deal. (as everything on Ebay) I cant wait to see the embroidery
DeleteYour inchie is, as always, a marvel. I adore Cellini spirals and yours is beautiful. I haven't mastered it yet, but you've inspired me to try again. Unfortunately I can no longer use the really small seed beads (vision, shaky hands, difficulty in finding the eye of that shinny needle, a.k.a. older age -- I refuse to just use old), but I think its the 6's and 8's that really make this pattern work Thanks for the chart..
ReplyDeleteThanks Kia, i feel the same about the bracelet, and I dont really like the 6's. But I knew I had to add them to give it the peak it needed. and just to let you know that they make those magnifying glasses. Never get old! LOL you're welcome abut the chart.
DeleteGreat inchie & that bracelet is awesome!
ReplyDeleteSally
Thanks so much Sally
DeleteAnother stunning inchie - colours and design are both perfect. Love the bracelet too - you are super talented :)

DeleteAdorable inchie, as usual, and I LOVE that bracelet. I used to do beadwork and maybe I need to pull those beads out again. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jean, and yes you should I would love to see what you come up with!
DeleteYou are amazing!!!! I'm just in awe over the bracelet you made!! I would soooooo wear that! Totally my style and colors!! I only pretend to think I would know how to create something like that. I buy beads, every now and then, thinking I'm gonna try my hand at something. But wow, you actually do it!! And your Inchie is fabulous!! With your inspiration,........maybe one of these days I'll actually make something with beads!! :0) Pure awesomeness!!! :0) Share Humanity
ReplyDeleteThanks Annette, you all make me blush. There are so many tutorials on youtube. You can learn anything. I started thinking like you, that maybe one day I will do something. Now I crave playing with my beads. I even make money with it. Follow your creativity and you will make something awesome. I cant wait to see what you come up with.

DeleteHello! I have been looking all over for such a great diagram in regard to seed beads. If I give you credit and a link to your blog post from mine, would you mind if I used it? No pressure if not!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Thanks Kimbra, but I did not make this chart, you can share it if you want, I sure dont mind. I wish I could remember where I found it at but you are welcome to use this. Have a blessed day and let me know when you post it so I can see it.
DeleteWill do!! THANK YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteDo you have tutorials on your site? I used to make the American Indian earrings( kind of like a dangling V shape for a company’s when I was younger but have lost the pattern.
ReplyDeleteNanaRaines, I do not have tutorials on here. But, I can tell you that there are many online tutorials. You can also go to Facebook and look up beading groups. They have so many patterns and tutorials on there. I hope this helps you out and thanks for stopping by my blog.
