A Blog Hop, A Key and A Ladybug Walk Into a Craft Room.....

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by this week.  I appreciate your comments and your visits.  I have a lot to cover so I will try to make it short.  This week I am excited to post my finished pieces from the Bead Peeps Swap N' Hop!  I am running late so please forgive me.

A Swap N' Hop means that we get a partner and swap beads and then hop to everyone's blogs and check out what they make.  My partner is Becky Pancake.  She has amazing taste in beads and is super generous with her sends.  See what she sent me.

AMAZING!!! WOW!!!  I think I spend a few days just drooling over these beads.  Do you see that amazing pendant in the middle?  It is so beautiful.

I was so overwhelmed by the beads that it took me some time to get myself together and make something beautiful with them.  I mean, when you are given something special you want to make sure that you make something special with it, right?  Right!

Here is what I came up with.  I took some of my 15's and made a herringbone necklace for that beautiful pendant.  I used one of my clasps.

The rest of those beads just would not talk to me.  I had an idea to bead around a few of the beads.  But that was really all I could think of.  Then it hit me, instead of making another bracelet why not make something that I don't have a lot of.  Pendants!

Once that was settled I got to work on the beads.  I started out using Becky's 2 colors of delicas that she sent me and added a grey to that and made a peyote tube.  The rest just fell into place

I added the 8's as a bail and the lampwork bead at the top.  The fire polished beads dangle from the tube with sea glass drop beads at the bottom.  2 of which have been embellished with the 8's and 11's.  Here it is hanging from my necklace.

I love how this one looks.  I am going to keep the rest of the beads close to me on my craft table to see if they speak to me again so I can make something with them.  Thanks again Becky, it was great getting to know you.

Now, over to Every Inchie Monday the theme is Bug/Lady beetle.  So this is my ladybug.  She is a bit bigger than most of the ladybugs I normally see but I think that is ok lol.

This week over at 2x2x2 the theme is Keys.  I took this opportunity to design some vintage ornate keys.  This pattern feeds my design OCD.  I love it!

Now, lastly I beaded up another animal for the Seed Beads and More Zoo Spotlight.  This is one of my patterns and I call him Owliver.  He is dressed up as a proper gentleman!  Isn't he cute?!?

Phew! So much to have gotten through and I DID IT!  LOL. Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to fly on over to EIM and 2x2x2 to check out the artwork and maybe join in!  Below is a list of all of the Swap N' Hop blogs so fly on over and check those out. Have a blessed and creative week my friends!
